Through Inspection

We'll help you:

Why & What?

Inspecting your Vessel

For any business, the journey to a sustainable future requires an understanding of where you want to go and how you’re going to get there. But first, you need to know where you are.

You wouldn’t set off on a long journey without inspecting your vessel first.

It’s like going on a treasure hunt to find out what treasure (assets) your impacts are. We’ll even help remove obstacles in your path.

Regardless of your impact, this initial assessment establishes an important baseline for your journey forward. Without insight into your existing impact, you won’t be able to measure and show how much you achieve in the future.

Keeping it Simple

How we work

There are lots of ways we can work together and it all starts with where you are on your journey:

  • Do you want to find out about what’s involved with becoming a purpose driven business?
  • Are you ready to take the plunge but aren’t entirely sure where to start or what direction to take?
  •  Or are you clear on your purpose and want to start measuring your positive impact, and maybe even go for a B Corp certification?

Wherever you are, we’re here to help.

Using workshops, 1:1 sessions, questionnaires and conversations, we’ll discover what drives your business, what energises the workforce, why customer’s join (and stay with) your company? We look at your past and current situation – including environmental impact data (e.g. GHG emissions, carbon footprint).

To help you discover your full sustainable potential and plot the course of where your business is going, we need to know where you are now, and that’s why we do an inspection

What's in our toolkit?

Inspection Services

There’s no one-size fits all approach here. We’ll help you choose the most appropriate services for your business, your budget and your aspirations.

You can’t manage what you don’t measure. Without a clear understanding of your existing impact, you won’t be able to measure and show how much you achieve in the future.

A baseline can involve a carbon footprint or a business impact review,

Think of it like ripping off a plaster – once it’s done, the most painful bit is over!

Maybe, you’ve thought about calculating your carbon footprint or used a sustainable framework to assess your impact in the past – then put it off as being too complicated and time consuming. We get it!

We’ll untangle the process for you by crunching the data to discover your impact whilst creating a reduction plan backed by numbers.

We use Carbon Footprinting and Impact Assessments to get the data.

Understanding the risks of avoiding your environmental and social impacts is the first step in protecting your business and turning those risks into opportunities.

We do this using SWOT and SOAR analysis.

Protect your business by taking ownership of your impact results and creating a vision of where you want to get to and the results you want to achieve.

Simply put, who cares?

Whether it’s your employees, clients, investors or regulatory bodies, to create a resilient plan, you need to understand the groups who have a vested interest in your performance. For us, stakeholder mapping is like putting together puzzle pieces. It helps us to see who’s involved and how they all fit together to make the bigger picture.

We map your stakeholders using a process called a materiality assessment. This is where we get key stakeholders to rank the relative importance of different environmental and social topics. This helps us to prioritise focus areas for your sustainability transition. It’s also a great way of engaging your stakeholders early on in the process.

Integrating a B Impact Assessment (BIA) into your sustainability roadmap offers valuable insights, even if you’re not aiming for full B-Corp certification just yet. The BIA evaluates your businesses environmental, social and governance practices. Highlighting areas for improvement and showcasing existing strengths.
The assessment serves as a strategic tool, guiding the development of targeted initiatives. Utilising the BIA not only promotes transparency but also aligns your business with a recognised sustainability standard, signalling your commitment to responsible practices. All without the cost or burden of getting fully accredited.

Looking from the outside in, we can benchmark you against competitors and companies you admire. It’s a way of measuring you against your competition. It’s also a way we can get a better understanding of your industry.

There’s no harm in scoping out the competition and ensuring your sustainable journey is purposeful, comparable and measurable!
